I thought I would try the Triumph OEM tools to adjust the chain for the first time in the Tiger 800's life. The 27mm ring spanner simply snapped as soon as I tried to undo the axle nut. The swing arm is shaped so as to not let a shifter to be used and I don't have a 27mm ring spanner with a thin enough ring to fit the nut either. I think a trip to the Triumph store to protest some warranty on the tools is in order.

The axle nut is "protected" by the swing arm. |
